Catherine Levene is President of the Meredith National Media Group. She oversees the company’s 40+ iconic brands including PEOPLE, Better Homes & Gardens, Allrecipes, Southern Living, REAL SIMPLE and Magnolia Journal. Reaching consumers across digital, print, social platforms, video, audio and connected home assistants, Meredith’s trusted portfolio reaches 95% of all U.S. women and more than 190 million unduplicated American consumers every month. Meredith is the No. 2 licensor globally, including more than 3,500 SKUs of branded products at Walmart. Its businesses also include leading affinity marketer Synapse, award-winning creative content studio Foundry, and the Meredith Data Studio, whose proprietary first-party data and insights are leveraged for National Media Group offerings.
Levene has more than 20 years of experience as an accomplished leader. Most recently, she served as Meredith’s Chief Digital Officer since 2019, after joining earlier that year as Chief Strategy Officer. Under her leadership, Levene has been instrumental in growing the company’s business, where digital advertising revenues increased 38 percent of total NMG revenue and total sessions for Meredith’s NMG sites increased 16 percent. She has introduced new multi-platform brands, new podcasts and more. Levene has been a champion of Meredith’s Diversity & Inclusion efforts and serves as the executive sponsor for :BLACKPRINT, Meredith’s Black employee resource group.
